Product Description

ANNENG WGQK-300: Heavy-Duty Down-the-hole Drilling Rig

What is the WGQK-300?

The WGQK-300 isn’t just another Drilling Rig—it’s a workhorse built for the harshest job sites. Designed by ANNENG, a leader in Excavator Converted Drilling Rigs and rock processing equipment,

It’s built to pair seamlessly with our other gear, like Mining Rock Splitters, Taking into account blasting and drilling at the same time, it can achieve twice the result with half the effort. It can be applied to various scenarios such as quarrying, port construction, tunnel construction, etc., achieving multiple goals at one stroke.

Key Technical Specs

  • Model: WGQK-300
  • Manufacturer: ANNENG
  • Drill range: diameter 80mm -300mm
  • Max depth capability: 30 meters (98 feet)
  • Rotation speed: 0-60 rpm
  • Power source: 75kW diesel engine
  • Weight: 5.8ton

Why the WGQK-300 Outperforms

  • Drills faster, works longer: Cuts through granite and basalt with 30% less time than standard rigs we’ve tested—meaning more holes drilled per shift.
  • Tough as nails: Frame built from 16mm high-tensile steel; critical components coated to resist corrosion, even in rainy or coastal environments.
  • Plays well with others: Hooks up easily to ANNENG’s Drilling And Splitting Machines—no extra adapters needed. One crew, one workflow, zero hassle.
  • Simple for operators: Controls are laid out like familiar heavy machinery, so experienced drillers get up to speed in hours, not days.
  • Fuel sipper, not a guzzler: Tuned engine uses 15% less diesel than comparable models in our side-by-side tests.
  • Easy to fix: All service points are at waist height—no crawling under the rig.

How it works: Instead of just spinning, the bit pounds while rotating—like a jackhammer on a drill string. This “impact-plus-rotation” method breaks rock more efficiently than rotary-only rigs, especially in hard formations like quartzite.

How to Run the WGQK-300

  1. Prep the site: Park on level ground. Lower stabilizer legs until the rig is steady. Check oil, fuel, and air pressure—don’t skip this; it’s the #1 cause of breakdowns.
  2. Fit the bit: Choose the right bit for your rock (we’ll help you pick). Slide it onto the drill stem and lock it with the safety pin—never skip the pin.
  3. Fire it up: Start the engine, let it warm to 60°C (140°F). Turn on the Air Compressor and let pressure build to 16 MPa before moving forward.
  4. Start drilling: Lower the bit to the rock surface. Engage rotation first, then slowly apply downward pressure. Let the hammer do the work—pushing too hard slows it down.
  5. Clear cuttings: Every 30-60 seconds, lift the bit slightly to let air blow out rock dust. This keeps the hole clean and prevents jamming.
  6. Finish up: When you hit your depth, stop rotation first, then retract the bit. Shut down the compressor, then the engine. Secure the bit before moving the rig.

Where the WGQK-300 Shines

This rig isn’t picky—it thrives in tough spots across industries:

  • Hard rock mining: Preps blast holes for ore extraction. Paired with our Mining Rock Splitters, it’s cut mining cycles by 25% for clients in Australia.
  • Quarries: Drills precise blast holes for granite, limestone, and sandstone. One quarry in Texas reports 400+ holes per week with consistent accuracy.
  • Bridge building: Creates foundation piles for bridge piers. Used on the Eastern River Crossing project to drill 12m holes through bedrock.
  • Road construction: Stabilizes slopes by drilling anchor holes. Perfect for mountain highways where loose rock is a hazard.
  • Water well drilling: Reaches groundwater in rocky terrain. Rural communities in Africa use it to drill 20-25m wells for drinking water.

What This Means for Your Bottom Line

  • More done in a day: Faster drilling = more holes per shift.
  • Lower costs per meter: Our drill bits have a longer lifespan than those on the market, which can reduce the cost per meter of drilling by 15-20% and reduce the probability of failure.
  • Long-term value:  One mine in Chile is still using their 2015 model daily.
  • Plays with your fleet: Works with most standard Excavator Converted Drilling Rigs—no need to replace your existing equipment.

Meets Global Standards

The WGQK-300 is built to pass strict international checks:

  • ISO 9001:2015 certified
  • CE marked for sale and use in the European Union
  • Meets ANSI/SAE J1116 safety standards for construction equipment
  • Complies with Australia’s AS 2187.2 for mining machinery

Every rig gets a 48-hour run test before shipping—we don’t send out “testers.”

Built to Your Needs

Your job is unique—your rig should be too. We can tweak the WGQK-300 to fit:

  • Specialty bits for reinforced concrete or abrasive rock
  • Electric motor (55kW or 75kW) for mines with strict emissions rules
  • Longer drill stems for 40m+ depth (special order, 6-week lead time)
  • Custom paint (add your company colors or safety stripes)
  • Extra safety gear: backup cameras, emergency stop buttons, or flame arrestors
  • Integration kits for specific Drilling And Splitting Machines (yours or ours)

Tell us your challenge—our engineers will design a solution.

How We Build It

We don’t cut corners—here’s why the WGQK-300 lasts:

  1. Design: Our engineers use 3D modeling and stress testing to spot weak points before we cut steel.
  2. Assembly: Each rig is built by a dedicated team (not assembly line chaos) who sign off on their work.
  3. Testing: Every rig drills 50 test holes in our on-site rock yard—we fix issues before you see them.
  4. Inspection: Third-party auditors check 10% of units at random—if one fails, we recheck the whole batch.

What Our Clients Say

“We switched to the WGQK-300 last year, and it’s been a game-changer. In our granite quarry, we’re drilling 25 more holes per day than with our old rig, and fuel costs are down $1200 a month. The way it pairs with ANNENG’s Mining Rock Splitters? Total workflow win.”

— Carlos Mendez, Quarry Manager, Andes Stone Co. (Peru)

“Reliability is everything in remote mining. Our WGQK-300 runs 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week, in 40°C heat. We’ve had it 3 years, and the only downtime was for scheduled oil changes. Worth every penny.”

— James Wilson, Operations Director, Outback Mining (Australia)

“The dust suppression alone makes this rig better. Our crew used to go home covered in rock dust—now their PPE stays cleaner, and we’ve had zero respiratory complaints since switching. Plus, it’s just a beast at drilling through basalt.”

— Amara Okafor, Construction Manager, West African Roads (Ghana)

How to Get Yours

  • Minimum order: 1 unit (we don’t sell parts kits)

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers

Q: How often does the WGQK-300 need maintenance?

A: Daily checks (5 minutes) for fluids and loose bolts. Full service every 500 operating hours—our techs can walk you through it, or we can send a technician.

Q: Can it handle frozen ground?

A: Yes—add our cold-weather package (heated hydraulic fluid lines and battery) and it works down to -20°C. We’ve got clients using it in Siberian mines.

Q: What’s the warranty?

A: 12 months on the engine and frame, 6 months on wear parts like bits and hoses. Extended warranties up to 3 years are available.

Q: How long do the drill bits last?

A: It depends on the rock—expect 80-100 holes in granite, 150+ in limestone. We sell replacement bits at wholesale for clients who buy the rig.

Q: Can we finance the purchase?

A: Yes, through our partner banks. Terms up to 36 months with 20% down—ask our sales team for details.
