Low efficiency in moving mountains and breaking rocks, one machine with two functions can solve the dilemma
Industry pain points
In mining, traditional down-the-hole drills are difficult to adapt to rugged terrain due to their heavy weight, and the equipment transfer takes up to 2 hours per time; in infrastructure construction, insufficient drilling depth leads to unstable blasting effect; in geological exploration scenarios, the separate configuration of drills and excavators causes idle resources. The contradiction between the single function of equipment and operating efficiency has become the core pain point of the industry.
Your troubles
Have you ever experienced the dilemma of a drill stuck halfway up the mountain and manual transportation is time-consuming and labor-intensive? Is the blasting cost overrun due to insufficient drilling accuracy? When operating in the plateau tundra, does the dilemma of frequent shutdowns of traditional drills due to insufficient power make you anxious?
Our solution
The Carter 320D excavator is converted into a down-the-hole drill, and the modular quick-change device is used to switch the operating mode within 10 minutes. Equipped with a Cummins QSB6.7 engine, the output torque is increased to 2200N·m, and it is suitable for φ150-300mm drill bits. Verified by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, the modified equipment can still maintain a vertical drilling accuracy of ±2cm on a 30° slope.
Actual effect
A test at an iron mine in Inner Mongolia shows that the modified equipment can drill 120 meters a day, 40% more than traditional Drilling Rigs. According to feedback from the Tibet Plateau project, the equipment still maintains 92% of its rated power at an altitude of 4,500 meters, and its drilling efficiency in frozen soil is 15% better than that of special drilling rigs.
Product Features
① Four-wheel drive travel system: climbing ability of 35°, suitable for non-paved roads;
② Intelligent anti-stuck drill system: automatic adjustment of impact frequency through pressure sensors;
③ Dual-circuit hydraulic design: independent oil supply for drilling and walking, reducing energy consumption by 18%.
Usage Tips
Check the verticality of the drill rod before operation, and adjust it if the deviation exceeds 3°;
Preheat the hydraulic oil to above 40°C during frozen soil operations;
Operators need to wear safety goggles and dust masks, and wear safety shoes for enhanced protection.
Application scenarios
From open-pit mining of phosphate mines in Yunnan to tunnel pre-cracking of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, this modified equipment reconstructs the construction logic with "one machine with two functions". As Lao Zhang, the person in charge of the Qinghai project, said: "In the past, three devices were needed to work together, but now an excavator with a drilling module can do it, saving 80,000 yuan in fuel costs per month."
