How to set it up and use it

1. Get your excavator ready:
   • Make sure it’s 18-30 tons (check our list for specific models).
   • Look over hydraulic hoses for damage. Replace any that are bad.
2. Attach the rig:
   • Use the included brackets to bolt the rig to the excavator arm.
   • Connect hydraulic lines to the excavator. Tighten all the fittings.
3. Adjust settings:
   • Set the drill angle (0-90 degrees) with the hydraulic lever.
   • Pick rotation speed based on rock hardness – slower for hard rock, faster for soft.
4. Start drilling:
   • Line up the drill head where you need it. Lower it gently to touch the rock.
   • Start rotation and apply steady pressure. Let the drill do the work – don’t force it.
   • For deep holes, pull the drill out now and then to clear dust (use an air compressor if you have one).
5. Switch to splitting (if you need to): Once holes are drilled, take off the rig and hook up your Hydraulic Rock Splitter For Mining to finish the job.
